Privacy policy

The short version

This website does not collect health information. There is no field on it that asks for a diagnosis, a cancer type, test results, or treatment history, and we ask you not to send those to us in a message either. What we do collect is limited to analytics about how the site is used, and whatever you choose to type into the contact form.

What we collect

Information you give us

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the organization you type in if you type one, the topic you select, and your message. We use it to reply to you and to understand what people are asking about. That is all.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use analytics to understand which pages are read and which are not. This is handled through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (containerGTM-NP7HGPLF), which set cookies and collect information including your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived. We use this in aggregate to improve the site.

We also measure when someone moves from this website to the Curova app, so we can tell whether what we write here is useful. That measurement records the fact of the click and which page it came from. It does not record anything about your health.

What we do not collect

• Health information, diagnoses, biomarker or genomic results, or treatment history.
• Payment information. Nothing on this website charges you.
• Any information that would make Curova a HIPAA business associate on the strength of this website. Clinical data lives in the app, under its own consent.

Cookies

Analytics cookies are the only cookies this site sets. Most browsers let you block or delete them, and the site works normally if you do. We do not use cookies to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not run advertising pixels on this site.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run the site — analytics, hosting, and the service that delivers contact form submissions to our inbox — and they process information on our behalf under their own terms.

How long we keep it

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to support@cancercurova.com. You can opt out of analytics by blocking cookies in your browser or using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Children

We link to ClinicalTrials.gov and to the Curova app at https://app.cancercurova.com. Those are separate services with their own policies. We are not responsible for how other websites handle your information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant we will say so on the site rather than quietly revise it.
